Leo F. Barber passed away on Nov. 4, 2009, after a long struggle with lung cancer.
 Leo was a graduate of Whitehall High School, class of 1953, and an Army veteran. He was a naturalist with a love and vast knowledge of plants, animals, fish and birds.
 He is pre-deceased by his parents, George and Albertine (Laurin) Barber, and his brothers, Leslie, Robert, Albert and Chester.
 He is survived by his sisters, Lorraine Lansing Elliott of Hudson Falls and Marie Rocque and her husband, Jack, of Levittown, Pa.; sister-in-law, Rose (Albert) Barber of Schenectady and Iona (Chester) Barber of Halfmoon; as well as many loving friends, nieces, nephews and cousins.
  He is gone but will never be forgotten.
  A memorial Mass will be conducted on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church in Whitehall by the Rev. Michael Flannery, pastor.  Family and friends may meet at the church from 10 a.m. to the time of the Mass.
  Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Whitehall.
  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation in Leo’s name to the Washington County Hospice, 415 Lower Main St., Hudson Falls, N.Y. 12839.
