The mayor called this morning to say that the boil water order has been lifted for Whitehall. The issue came up on Saturday evening when THE main line broke from the filtration plant to the village. It did some damage at the County garage building.

I'm off for Utah. Here is the information for anyone needing to get a hold of the newspaper:

The Whitehall Times office at 126 Main Street will be closed from Thursday, Jan. 22 until Monday, Feb. 1 due to vacation. Calls to 499-1500 will be forwarded to the Granville office, 642-1234. Those wishing to contact editorial staff at Manchester Newspapers can call there, as well.
Anyone wishing to drop items off for publication in the office mail slot may do so before noon on Friday, Jan. 23 in order to have their copy in the Jan. 29 newspaper. The Whitehall Times office will be open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2.
