Chicken everywhere

Chicken fans,

The month of August will taste just like chicken with what seems like a dozen BBQs around the region. I'm a big (ha-ha) fan of the Q and enjoy sampling the different takes on the regional recipe. I'm always, or at least I was, suprised that no one I've seen so far use actual barbeque sauce. Everyone seems to use that same oil-based coating - no complaints though, good food.

Haynes House of Hope at the music festival- put on the by Hartford Fish and Game Club, 4 or 4:30

West Pawlet Fireman's Carnival in the village at the carnival- noon and 3 p.m.

both Aug. 1

Rick's Ride at the K of C Hall, Potter Avenue- put on by the same group of volunteers five years in a row - 4:30 Aug. 8

Let's see...who else?

Aug. 6, Granville Engine and Hose before the Doc Scanlon's show in Veterans Park

Seems like more...

Of course the fair has the Argyle guys, believe it or not that is coming up SOON

Hello All,

Hee-hee. The grass in green and the fields are all looking great an finally a few dry days have come together just in time for the beginning of the high school sports seasons.

A little early this year but GV FB has their camp this week. Not even a full squad but a good looking group, I'm curious to see what they'll do this year.

Questions all around for GV sports in general. Will the XC team be any bigger this year? How does the field hockey program rebound from an early exit from the playoffs last year? Who are the up-and-coming talents out there. Who are the next outstanding athletes to carry the banner for the Godlen Horde?

I, for one, can't wait to see.

What else? Pember booksale was great, huge selection - hope those last me until birthday or Christmas.

It's been a while since I've posted, but I was getting so few hits...give it another try?

The upside is should I ever need cheap recreation 'male enhancement' I know exactly where to go. A thought - does anyone actually try to buy illegal drugs (Xanax all the way to vicodan) over the Internet? Is anyone really that dumb?

Well...then again people cash those foreign lotter checks all the time.
